WATERLOO - Warren Zenas Duke, 95, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of Waterloo, died in Georgetown Wednesday, June 14, 2006, of natural causes.

He was born May 23, 1911, in Oelwein, son of Ralph and Elsie Hoar Duke. He married Charlotte McNabb on June 14, 1928. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Duke graduated from high school in Oelwein, then attended Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind. He was employed by the Waterloo Railroad for 17 years, then worked for John Deere Co., retiring in 1974.

Over the years he was a member of the Gideon's and was an active and supportive member of the Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Waterloo for over 50 years. He used his talents for the Lord in music by singing in the choir and playing the organ in the "Chapel Room."

Survived by two sons, Donald of Elk Run Heights and Marshall of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.
