WATERLOO — Betty Lou Elliott, 52, of Waterloo, died Friday Feb. 20, 2004, at Allen Hospital of cancer.

She was born March 11, 1951, in Harrisburg, Ark., daughter of Marion and Alice Carter Barker. She married Phil Glaza.

Ms. Elliott graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1969. Over the years she worked for Varsity Cleaners, and more recently Grainger Parts Co. of America. She will be remembered for her abounding love for her family and her enjoyment of music, especially Elvis.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Kerry (Leigh) of Waterloo; a daughter, Gail (William) Widmann of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Nathan Elliott and Blake Widmann; six sisters, Kathie (Pat) Finn of Montezuma, Diane McGrane of Waterloo, Deb (Doug) Crippen and Linda (Lonnie) Truax, both of Cedar Falls, Rachel (Jimmy) Moss and Opal Waldron, both of Newport, Ark.; two brothers, Bob Barker and Scott (Cindy) Barker, both of Waterloo; two stepchildren, Justin Glaza of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Ryan Glaza of Iowa City; 14 nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; and two infant brothers.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel.

A memorial fund has been established.
