CEDAR FALLS -- Don D. Murray, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Iowa City, son of Joseph R. and Anna R. McCreary Murray. He married Elizabeth “Betty” M. Duhn on March 9, 1946, in Grundy Center; she died Feb. 19, 2009.

Mr. Murray was employed in experimental testing with John Deere in both Waterloo and Laredo, Texas.

Survived by a son, Virgil (Nel) of Bellevue; two daughters, Donna Murray of Waterloo and Beckie (Jeff) Murray of Nashua; five grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Crow of Cedar Rapids.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at NewAldaya Lifescapes chapel, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to House of Hope or Cedar Bend Humane Society.
