WATERLOO - William J. “Bill” Stoffregen, 62, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013.
He was born Nov. 1, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Merrill W. and Helen L. Bartie Stoffregen. He married Diane Klein on Dec. 21, 1971, in Waterloo.
Mr. Stoffregen graduated from Waterloo West High School and from Iowa State University with an industrial engineering degree. He was employed with John Deere as an engineer and supervisor for 33 years, retiring in 2008. He also was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran.
Survived by his wife; two daughters, Kacie (Mike) Wagner and Aubrey (Ryan) Nachazel, both of Waterloo; a grandson, Beau Wagner; his mother of Waterloo; a brother, David (Sharon) of Michigan; and two sisters, Patti Sorge and Kathy (Pete) Myers, both of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway.
