WATERLOO -- William “Bill” G. Watts, 85, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Cresco, son of William and Marie Perry Watts. He married Sandra Carpenter on May 30, 1975, in Ellworth; she died in 1996.

Mr. Watts worked as an elevator operator at Farmstead Foods, Cedar Rapids, for 32 years.

Survived by a son, Steven of Marion; a grandson; a brother, Arthur of Rockford, Ill.; and two sisters, Louise Sweeney of Hubbard and Mildred Olsen of Meredosia, Ill.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Donald; and two sisters, Viola Kerr, and Shirley Watts in infancy.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
