NEW HARTFORD - Verna Mae Luders, 86, of New Hartford, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was born June 7, 1918, in Wesley, daughter of Walter and Anna Schorie Smith. She married Harold Luders Nov. 12, 1939, in New Hartford.

Mrs. Luders retired from Hinson Manufacturing after 25 years of service.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ron (Pam) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Peggy (Frank) Grendler and Sharon (Daniel) Fix, both of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Smith.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and for an hour before services Tuesday.
