Mrs. Caroline Stout Dies Last Night
Oldest Woman in Waterloo

Mrs. Caroline Stout died at her home at 321 Cottage Street last night at 10 o'clock, at the age of 94 years and 11 months. She had been suffering from, a paralytic stroke for three weeks which combined with old age caused her death.

Mrs. Stout leaves three children living, J. W. Stout, Mrs. Catherine Davis of this city, and Mrs. E. Tuckey of Granville, Idaho.

Mrs. Stout has lived in Waterloo since 1867 and was said to be the oldest woman in Waterloo. She was born in Bridgeport, Mass. March 25, 1806, married March 19, 1838, at Speedsvilie, New York, and moved from there to Wateroo in January, 1867. She has been, a cripple for the last ten years caused by a fall on the ice which has caused her to be confined close at home durng the latter part of her life.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The funeral sermon will be preached by Rev. Mr. T. M. Evans of the Grace church after which the body will be interred in Fairview Cemetery.
