Services for George E. Peterson, 68, of 517 California St., will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carter, O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home. 250 National Drive, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. He died early Saturday morning at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Downsville, Wis., son of Richard and Anna Brostrom Backen Peterson. He married Laura DuBois in Waterloo June 24, 1939.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Roger of Dunkerton and Dennis of 586 Greenwood Ave.; and two grandchildren.

He worked at Rath Packing Company for 36 years, retiring in 1965. He worked at the Black Hawk County Court House following his retirement.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of service.
