CEDAR FALLS — Mary Wray Taylor, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.
She was born July 19, 1927, in Hopkins, Mo., daughter of Guy and Lela Wray.
She graduated from Lennox High School in 1945. She worked for Ramada Inn coffee house, Maid-Rite, and retired from Covenant Hospital.
Survived by five sons, Dennis (Patricia), David (Marilyn), Darrell (Debbie), Douglas, and Dallas (Anita) Ackerson; a daughter, Diana (Fred) Duitsman; seven siblings, Hugh (Marilee), Guy Jr. (Marlys), Bill (Twilla), Doris Loger, Bob (Dena), Dean (Carmen) and Doyle (Linda); 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Paul Wray.
Memorial services: 7 p.m. Monday at Trinity Bible Church, 125 Orchard Drive, Cedar Falls, with a gathering beginning at 6 p.m.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family in care of Douglas Ackerson, 3006 Loma St., Cedar Falls 50613, Cedar Valley Hospice of Waterloo or to charity of donor’s choice.
Mary enjoyed playing cards and various board games with her family and friends.
