RITES HELD FOR ELSIE DYKEMAN
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Miss Elsie Dykeman, 71, a former Mitchell county woman, who died Friday at her home in Waterloo. Her death was caused by a heart attack.
Rites were held in Waterloo Tuesday, and at the Champion Funeral Home is Osage Wednesday. Rev. D. Berg, pastor of Rock Creek Lutheran Church, was in charge of the rites and burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Elsie May Dykeman was born in Floyd county, Iowa, on October 3, 1900, the daughter of L.M. and Bertha Dorow Dykeman. She was graduated from Osage high school and was a retired school teacher. She lived in Waterloo for the past 25 years.
Miss Dykeman is survived by one sister, Mrs. Verna Johnson of Waterloo; four nephews and one niece.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister and one brother.
