WATERLOO - Alan D. Prugh, 50, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center of cancer.

He was born Aug. 13, 1955, in Waterloo, son of Marvin and Louise "Lorrene" Walker Prugh. He married Rhonda Mason on Sept. 14, 1974, in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced.

Mr. Prugh was self employed as a carpenter and formerly owned Hawkeye Cities Continuous Gutters.

Survivors include a son, Andy of Waterloo; his mother of Waterloo; five brothers, Gary of Schweinfurt, Germany, Terry, Dennis, Robert (Deb) and Brian, all of Waterloo; and four sisters, Marlys Byers of North Glen, Colo., Paula Hoyer and Barbara Prugh, both of Waterloo, and Denise (Jerry) Bond of Denver.

Preceded in death by his father; and a infant daughter, Ashley.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 11 a.m. until services Monday at the chapel.
