WATERLOO — Hubert L. Rossin, 84, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born July 8, 1929, in Mazeppa, Minn., son of Frank and Nina Books Rossin. He married Georgia J. Todd on June 18, 1950, in Minnesota City, Minn.

Mr. Rossin was employed at Viking Pump Co., Cedar Falls, for 34 years, retiring in 1993, in addition to working at Rock Island Millwork for 25 years. He was a member of the Molders and Allied Workers Union. He was a 51-year member of Grace Lutheran Church, where he served as Sunday school superintendent and also taught Sunday school and confirmation classes.

Survived by his wife; four daughters, Susan (Tom) Kane of Byron, Minn., Sherry (Jim) Rodemeyer and Shelly Strickler, both of Waterloo, and Sandra (Brad) McMahon of Jefferson City, Mo.; three sons, Michael (Jenny) and Todd, both of Waterloo, and Mark (Melissa) of Stafford, Va.; 17 grandchildren, Summer, Chantel, Abe, Ben, Sarah, Amber, Adam, Noah, Tessa, Samuel, Leslie, Paul, Nick, Ashley, Hannah, Jade and Livie; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank (Betty) of Winona, Minn.; and a sister, Mabel Albrecht of Dakota, Minn.

Preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Hugh and Harold.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kearns Funeral Service, Kimball Chapel, and an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family.

Following retirement, Hubert enjoyed helping Georgia with daycare for children in their home.
