WATERLOO — Mary Alice Cooling Bush, 94, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Prairie Manor, Blooming Prairie, Minn.

She was born July 13, 1919, in Waterloo, daughter of Clifford and Helen Dolan Cooling. On Oct. 16, 1942, she married Chester “Bud” Doyle Bush in Jefferson City, Mo. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bush graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1938, then worked at Rath Packing Co. She worked at Land O’Lakes, Albert Lea, Minn., and then at the Downtown Motel, Austin, Minn. She belonged to the Extension Club, Project Club and the TOW Club.

Survived by four sons, Alan (Maryann Koeppell) and David, both of Austin, Gary of Albert Lea, Minn., and John (Jodi Siegler) of Chanhassen, Minn.; three daughters, Barbara (Craig) Bellrichard of Burnsville, Minn., Nancy (Michael) Bennett of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Debbie Johnson of Rochester, Minn.; a daughter-in-law, Janelle Bush of Alden, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Marcella Cooling of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and John Cooling; two sons, Doyle and Thomas; and a daughter, April Lerum.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Austin, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mayer Funeral Home, Red Wing, with a 5 p.m. CCW rosary and a 7:30 p.m. wake service. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Mary enjoyed family, sewing, quilting, plants, playing cards, the farm and bargains. Her fondest memories were of her family.
