CEDAR FALLS — Louise Patterson, 96, of 3602 S. Union Road, died at home Saturday Jan. 10, 2004, of cancer.

She was born Feb. 17, 1907, in South Dakota. She married Terry S. "Ted" Patterson on July 21, 1927, in Battle Lake, Minn. He died April 21,1982. Mrs. Patterson grew up in western Minnesota and moved to Iowa when she married in 1927. She was very dedicated to her Lord, her family and to farm life. She overflowed with unconditional love to all she knew, especially her family. She was also active with crafts, cards and letters. Her children express heartfelt gratitude for the tender care given by Cedar Valley Hospice.

Survivors include seven sons: Don, Dean (Gail), Clint (Luanne), Harlan (Kathy), Lee (Sally), Jerry and John (Margaret); a daughter, Joan (Gary) Priding; 24 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a grandson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial at 3 p.m. in Clarion Cemetery, Clarion. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund will be established.
