Don Dion Azbill, 57, of Dysart, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center, of a heart attack.

He was born June 5, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Donald and Janet Hay Azbill. He married Nancy Kyle in Des Moines on April 2, 1976.

He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1974. Mr. Azbill was employed at Samson Fabrication as a supervisor in Waterloo.

Survived by his wife; a son, Jon (Courtney) of Dysart; two daughters, Reianna (Jeff) Cross and Melanie (Chris) Grimm, both of Traer; eight grandchildren, Bryton, Stacey, Ethan, Trinity, Cameron, Kale, Kaitlyn and Chance; three brothers, Darrel of Marshall, Mo., Rodric and Robert (Pamm), both of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews, Jenna, Jesse, Zac, Brittani, Hunter, Clinton, Joseph and Nicole.

Preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Penny; a brother, Dennis; and two sisters, Dawn and Donna Azbill.

Services 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, preceded by an hour of visitation.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family.

He enjoyed his motorcycle and grilling and was a fan of movies and music. Don was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend anyone could ask for.
