Services for Margaret McCrea 81, of 3769 West Ninth St, Apt. 2, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mrs. McCrea died Monday morning at Schoitz Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 2, 1903, in Castle Grove, daughter of Henry and Anna Janssen Knake. She married Vernon McCrea on Feb. 27, 1923, in Castle Grove. He died in October 1959.

She was employed by Rath Packing Co. for 23 years, retiring in October, 1966.

Survivors include six sons: Everette of Cedar Rapids, Maynard of Michael, Ill., Maurice of Boulder, Colo., Bill of Chicago, and Bob and Marvin, both of Waterloo; five daughters: Mrs. Dick Widdel and Mrs. Bud Sommer, both of Waterloo, Joyce Delamore of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Caryal Purviance of Tipton, Mrs. Lois Weiss of guernsey; two sisters, Mary Siebels of Cedar Rapids and Wilhelmina Gold of Fredericksburg, Texas; 48 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Wednesday, and a Scripture service is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, both at Oppold Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to Columbus High School.
