Josephine Sadler, 83, of Jesup, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born July 13, 1924, in Black Hawk County, daughter of Joseph and Genevieve Wilhelm Weiden. She married Joseph W. Sadler on Feb. 27, 1946, in Gilbertville. He died Aug. 16, 2007.

Mrs. Sadler farmed with her husband five miles southwest of Jesup, where she resided until her death. She also was a rosary maker for the missions.

Survived by a son, Richard of Jesup; two daughters, Mary of Jesup and Patricia of Waterloo; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Kay (Joseph) Fischbach of Waterloo and Genevieve (Lawrence) Sadler of Dunkerton.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald; and a daughter-in-law, Christine.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Gilbertville. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today, where there will be 4 and 7 p.m. rosaries. Visitation also for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
