CEDAR FALLS - The Rev. Milo E. Morris, 85, of Cedar Falls and longtime Iowa United Methodist minister, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005.

He was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Arlington, Wash., son of Henry L. and Bertha Putnam Morris and was raised on the western slopes of the Cascade Mountains north of Seattle. He received his bachelors degree from Seattle Pacific College and his Bachelor of Divinity Degree from then Drake Universitys School of Theology.

He was united in marriage to Carol Elaine Love of Boone, on June 23, 1943. Together they raised five sons and served churches in Sedro Wooley, Wash., and at Newton, Carlisle, Norwalk/Linn Grove, Des Moines Immanuel, Le Mars/Seny, Waterloo FUMC, Oskaloosa, New Hartford, Shell Rock and Brandon/Mt. Auburn, all in Iowa. He last served as visitation pastor for the Cedar Falls FUMC.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Carol; his five sons and their spouses, Weston and Sandra of Crown Point, Ind., Stephen and Lynn of Ankeny, Douglas and Sally of Santee, Calif., Ronald and Mary of Le Mars, and James and Jayne of Waterloo; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Milton and Darrell; and a sister, Dorothy.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial at 2 p.m. in Linwood Cemetery, Boone. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and at the church for an hour before services on Friday.
