Funeral services for Charles Napoli, 54, of 319 E. 8th St., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. A. A. Sodawsser, pastor, will officiate. There will be a scripture service at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Oppold Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. to day.

Mr. Napoli died at 6:45 p.m. Friday following abdominal surgery. An autopsy is being performed.

He was born April 17, 1917, the son of John and Teresa Napoli at Oelwein. He married Bernice Pillard on Oct. 9, 1948, at Marquette. He had been employed at the Rath Packing Co. for 23 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church; the Fraternal Order of Eagles; and Local P. 46 Amalgamated Meat Cutters & Butcher Workmen of North America.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Charles of 4309 Crestview Dr., Cedar Falls; one grandson; three brothers, Peter of Rt. 4, Leo of Oelwein, and Dominick of Oran, and one sister, Rose Sparano of 704 Cataract Dr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister.
