Mrs. Margaret E. Briggs, 78, of 400 Johnson St., died Tuesday at about 2:15 a.m. in Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart ailment.

She was born Margaret E. Balsar June 8, 1883 in Adams County, Ill., the daughter of Amos H. and Ann Bolting Balsar. She was married to M. J. Turney Jan. 22, 1912 in Waterloo. He died in 1943. She was married to Walter Crumrine here in June, 1945. He preceded her in death in February, 1948. She married Sam Briggs in April, 1952.

Survivors include her husband, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Elsie Mae Green, 1103 Bishop Ave., and a sister, Mrs. William Whitter, 72½ Franklin St.

Her parents and a brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services are pending at the Locke Funeral Home.
