Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of First Baptist Church for eight-year-old Richard Lynn Dowell, son of Hobert and Madelyn Tice Dowell of 110 Blowers St. The child was killed in an automobile accident Saturday afternoon at Cedar Rapids.

The boy's mother, father and two sisters were also injured in the accident.

Dr. Franz E. Oerth, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate at the services. Friends may contribute to the Richard Dowell Memorial fund at First Baptist Church. The casket will not be opened. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Locke funeral home is in charge.

Richard had just completed the second grade at Lafayette School. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his parents, two sisters, Kathryn Ann, 7; Peggy Sue, 5; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. P. F. Thommen of Mt. Sterling, the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tice, of Ames; his great-grandmother, Mrs. Henry Cone of Mt. Ayr, Iowa.
