CEDAR FALLS — Linton M. Olson, 73, of Hendersonville, Tenn., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday morning, Dec. 28, 1990, at Hendersonville Hospital of emphysema.

He was born April 7, 1917, in Osage, son of Irvin and Cora Crogstead Olsen. He married Jean M. Markham Aug. 20, 1939, in Osage.

While in the metro area, he worked at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works and the Marshall Canning Co. of Waverly. He retired in 1981 from Asmera Oil Co. in Cheyenne, Wyo., moving to Tennessee.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Irvin "Kork" of Grand Prairie, Texas, and James of Gilbertville; four daughters, Kay Borreson of Lincoln, Neb., Karen Bell of Cedar Falls, Sandee Gandara of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Marcia Muesing of Davenport; a brother, Chris Miller of Ashby, Minn.; a sister, Elfrieda Uzlik of St. Ansgar; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Jean Olson and Hans Miller.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
