WATERLOO - Dakota Joseph Howard, infant son of Kirsten Platt and Allen Howard, was born prematurely and died shortly after birth Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Allen Hospital.

Survived by his parents, Kirsten Platt and Allen Howard, both of Waterloo; maternal grandparents, Brian and Pam Platt of Waterloo; paternal grandparents, Gayle Howard and Robert Gardner, both of Waterloo; maternal great-grandparents, Dale and Karen Webb of Cedar Falls; and paternal great-grandfather, Melvin Gardner of Cedar Falls.

Graveside services 3 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
