Edna J. Lampman, 89, of Janesville died Friday, Feb. 10, at Waverly Health Care Center Hospice Room of renal failure.

She was born May 10, 1916, in Allison, daughter of Chris W. and Hattie Van Hauen Schatzberg. She married Fred R. Lampman Aug. 16, 1936, in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1983.

Mrs. Lampman was a graduate of Finchford High School. She and her husband farmed in the Janesville and Shell Rock area before purchasing their farm in Janesville in 1949, where she still lived at the time of her death. She also worked in the bakery at the Waverly Hy-Vee for several years.

Survived by a daughter, Linda K. Jensen of Janesville; a brother-in-law, Ralph (Bette) Johnson of Clearwater, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Alice (Otis) Schatzberg of Shell Rock, Phyllis (Walker) Schatzberg of Lakeside, Calif., and Lois (Ed) Lampman of Waterloo; a stepgrandson, Leon Jensen of Omaha, Neb.; a stepgreat-grandson, Clay (Allie) Jensen of Fayetteville, N.C.; a stepgreat-great-grandson, Blake Jensen of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, John, Otis and Walter "Bud" Schatzberg; two sisters, Alice Meier and Alida Henry; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Jensen.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Finchford Community Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Finchford Community Church.
