Funeral services for Harold H. Bown, 69, of Rt. 1, who died of a heart ailment at 3 a.m. Sunday at his home, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Parrott and Home. Those Wood Funeral who wish may give memorials to the Firsi Baptist Church. Members of the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday.

Mr. Bown. was born Oct. 6, 1901, at La Porte City, son of Omar and Martha Clark Bown and married Stella Harris in Waterloo April 2, 1930.

Until moving to his recent home in 1940, he farmed near La Porte City. He was also employed by the Rath Packing Company 22 years until his retirement eight years ago and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Miss Marlene, at home; and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Gilbertson of Bladensburg, Md. Also surviving are three brothers: Dr. R. A. Bown of Denver, Colo.; Ralph C. of Macomb, Ill., and Roger W. of 620 Allen St.

He was preceded in death by parents and one sister.
