Jacqueline was born January 3, 1922, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of F.X. and Eulalia Healy Schroeger.

On February 6, 1945, she was united in marriage to Nolen F. Turnage in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2001.

Jacqueline was employed as a Sales Associate with Younkers Department Store in Cedar Falls, retiring in 1988.

She is survived by two sons, Nolen (Judi) Turnage, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona and Douglas (Diana) Turnage of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two daughters, Linda (Steven) Smith of Cedar Falls and Jackie (Kevin) Berggren, also of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren, Kerri (Alex) Powell of Washburn, Iowa, Kimberley Smith of Cedar Falls, Nicole (Gordon) Yanota of Alberta, Canada, Elizabeth Turnage of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Jenay (Dustin) Carnley of Phoenix, Jacob Turnage of Waterloo, Iowa and Desarae Springer of Cedar Falls; two step-grandchildren, Keeley and Kory Berggren of Evansdale, Iowa; three great grandchildren, Taylor Firckson of Cedar Falls, and Jonathon and Joel Powell of Washburn; a brother, Gary Schroeger of Blue Springs, Missouri; and two sisters, Loretta and Regina Schroeger, both of Kansas City, Missouri.

Jacqueline died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nolen; a brother, F.X. Schroeger, Jr.; a sister, Eulalia Jacobs; and two grandsons, Joshua and Justin Turnage.
