Lt. Cmdr. M. J. Dwyer, chaplain of the Waterloo Naval Reserve Unit will officiate at the funeral services for Marine Pfc. Daniel L. Jurgensen, 20, of 350 Euclid Ave., at 11 a.m. Friday at the Chapel of Memories West. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories with military rites conducted by the U. S. Marine Corps. The flag will be presented by Maj. Gary E. Elliott of the Marine Corps. Friends may call at the Chapel of Memories West until service time.

The body of Pfc- Jurgensen arrived here Tuesday evening. He was killed in action on Nov. 14 in Quang Nam Province of Vietnam by gunshot wounds from hostile arms fire. He was the son of Richard Jurgensen of 350 Euclid Ave. and Mrs. Helen Carroll of 1944 Williston Ave.

Daniel was born in Oelwein on Feb. 15, 1949. He was graduated from West High School in 1968 and was employed by Hawkeye Steel Products Co. Daniel was on a military leave of absence from the company.

He joined th U. S. Marine Corps in October of 1968 and was sent to Vietnam in July.

He is survived by his father, Richard Jurgensen, 350 Euclid Ave.; his mother, Mrs. Helen Carroll, 1944 Williston Ave.; and one sister, Cynthia, 17 of 350 Euclid Ave.; and his paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Herrick of independence.
