WATERLOO — Donna M. Harwood, 88, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born April 7, 1925, in Parkersburg, daughter of Harley M. and Ella Fick Considine. She married Eugene R. Harwood on Aug. 10, 1947, in Waterloo. He died Jan. 31, 2005.

Mrs. Harwood graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1942 and was a homemaker throughout her adult life. She was a member of St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Survived by two daughters, Barb (Dave) Hartwig of Rochester, Minn., and Faye (Bill) Tessmer of Palatine, Ill.; three sons, Greg (Kathy) of La Crosse, Wis., Roger (Kay) of Waterloo, and Russ of Richland, Wash.; a daughter-in-law, Miyuki Harwood of Orangevale, Calif.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Tillie Considine of Parkersburg.

Preceded in death by a son, Bret; a daughter-in-law, Holly Harwood; a twin brother, Don Considine; and a sister, Arlie Schneider.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment in Garden of Memories, Waterloo.
