Services for Leonard J. Weber, 85, of the Cedar Falls Western Home, formerly of 352 Clough St., will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Amercian Lutheran Church with burial at 2 p.m. Thursday in Vilmar Cemetery, Greene. He died of natural causes Monday morning (June 27, 1988) at the Cedar Falls Western Home.

Mr. Weber was born July 8, 1902, in Gilbertville, son of Henry E. and Elizabeth Schmitz Weber. He married Thelma Louise Riggert on June 21, 1941, in Merrill.

He leased service stations to DX and others from 1923 to 1935. He then was employed at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works in the sales division, retiring in 1968.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Mae Hamilton of Le Sueur, Minn., Mrs. Eunice Kelly of Hobbs, N. M., and Cathryn Weber and Mrs. Anita Houck, both of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a brother, Alfred; and sister, Bertha.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Oppold Funeral Home and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Trinity American Lutheran Church.
