William Peter Frickson, 83, of 231 E. Mount Vemon Road, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 1991, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, of natural causes

He was born Jan. 27, 1908, in Freeport, Ill., son of Richard and Mary Ellen Duxsbury Frickson. He married Lillian Madison Sept. 5, 1925 in Independence. She died Feb. 12, 1962. He married Agnes Downward Dec.* 14, 1963 in Waterloo. She died May 13, 1984.

Mr. Frickson owned and operated Frickson Construction Co until 1962 He then farmed until 1981 in the Black Hawk County area

Survivors include two sons, William D. and Francis, both of Waterloo; three daughters Jean Wittenburg of Denver, Joy Mooney of Cottonwood, Ariz and Andrea Wroblewski of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Rinnels of Waterloo; 19 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters Fannie Crist of Cedar Falls and Ruby Root of Oelwein.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard; and two sisters, Anna Weise and Helen Brinkema.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home with burial in Fairiew Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m until services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
