Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow at O'Keefe & Town Funeral Home for Edgar M. Murphy, 70, of 305 Paramount Bldg., who died at 11 p. m. Friday at Veterans hospital, Iowa City, of pneumonia and heart complications. The. Rt. Rev. Msgr. E. J. O'Hagan, will officiate. Burial will be in the Waterloo Cemetery. The Veterans of World War I will have charge of the flag folding ceremony.

Mr. Murphy was born on Sept. 21, 1893, in Odensburg, N. Y., the son of Michael J. and Mary Holland Murphy. He came to Waterloo with his family in 1902. He attended Our Lady of Victory Academy.

He married Miss Minnie Nelson on June 24, 1947. Mr. Murphy was a commercial decorator by trade. He served with the armed forces for 25 months during World War I and was a member of the American Expeditionary force in France.

Surviving are his widow and five brothers, Thomas of San Diego, Calif.; Daniel of Oelwein; J. W. of 130 Bourland Ave.; Bernard and Tim, both of 719 Grant Ave., and two sisters, Mrs. L. G. Drayton of Racine, Wis.; Helen at 719 Grant Ave.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
