Services for Mrs. Lydia Schroeder, 81, of Lafayette St.. were 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery at Denver. Mrs. Schroeder died Thursday at Allen Memorial Hospital.

She was born to Henry and Anna Kirchner Begelau at Leyden, Ill., on Sept. 14, 1897. She married Fred W. Schroeder Feb. 24, 1916, at Artesian, in Bremer County, and he died in 1940. She lived in Waterloo since 1945.

She was a seamstress at Powers Manufacturing Company until her retirement about 10 years ago.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lester Matthias of Readlyn, and Mrs. Dorlene Burns of 2746 E. Fourth St.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Emil of Denver, Arnold of Tripoli and William of Mooreland; three sisters: Mrs. Ed Noedeker of Waverly, Mrs. Emil Schweer of Tripoli, and Mrs. Eldora Heller of
Sumner.

The Cleveland Funeral Home in Denver was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in her name.
