DIX, MCCANNON, MCCLASSEN, WOOD, STRAHLENDORF, WASHINGTON

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home for Earl R. Dix, 50, of 1317 Northey St.

Mr. Dix died at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Allen Memorial Hosptial of a heart attack. The Rev. James Fouke, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.

He was born April 30, 1917, at West Plains, Mo., the son of Elmer E. and Alta May McCannon*.

Mr. Dix was employed at Rath Packing Co. for 26 years. He married Ruth Wood on Nob. 26, 1943, at Independence. He was a member of the Local 46 United Packinghouse Workers of America.

Survivors include his widow, a son, Bruce R., of 424 Allen St.; a daughter, Jane, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Detlof Strahlendorf, of 1111 Liberty Ave., and Mrs. Budford Washington of 1015 Mulberry St.; three brothers, Fred, of 1300 W. Donald St., Clyde* and Roy, both of Toledo, Ohio.

Preceding him in death were his mother, who died July 12, 1967, and his father.
