CEDAR FALLS — Dale Eugene Beckman, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 7, 1940, in Cedar Falls, son of Charles and Alice Rand Beckman. He married Dr. Judy Markham on Dec. 10, 1960, in Waterloo.

Mr. Beckman graduated from Waterloo West High School and attended State Teachers College (UNI). He was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 35 years and also farmed between Sumner and Tripoli.

Survived by his wife; a son, Michael John (Stephanie) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Mary Ellen Beckman of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren, Kristyn (Matt) Hogan, Alyssa (Ryan Stambaugh) Beckman, Michael (Aubrey Carusa) Beckman Jr., and Johnathan (Jordi Powell) Beckman; and a brother, Glenn (Charlene) of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.

Memorial services: were 10 a.m. today at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls.

Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
