Ralph E. Otto, 79 of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, January 27, 2007, in the ER at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

He was born February 10, 1927, in Hudson, Iowa, the son of Will and Helen (Mastain) Otto. He served his Country in the United States Army. On June 8, 1947, he was united in marriage to Doris L. Tuggle in Cedar Falls.

Ralph drove truck for Members Mutual, then owned and operated Kings Food Host and finally was with Hydrite Chemical until his retirement in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Doris of Cedar Falls; daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Waschek of Kendall, WI and Carol (Robert) Chumley of Blue Springs, MO; son, Douglas (Lori) Otto of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Harry) Andreasen of Rowlett, TX; and brother, Tom (Janice) Otto of Robbins.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Otto; and sister, Marjorie Otto.

Service will by 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Valley Community Church in Waterloo, with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls and also one hour prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
