I. S. Van Duyn, a former resident of this city, died at Tullahoma, Tenn., on the 20th, and the remains were brought here and buried in Elmwood Cemetary on Sunday. In the afternoon funeral services were held at the residence of V. S. Van Duyn, Rev. J. G. Van Ness conducting the services.

The deceased was 68 years of age. He came to Waterloo nearly twenty years ago, and moved to Tennessee for his health a little more than a year

He left a wife and two children.

DIED.—It was stated last week that word had been received of the serious illness of I. S. Van Duyn, at Tullahoma, Tenn. Mr. Van Duyn died on the 20th, and his remains were brought back here and buried Sunday in Elmwood Cemetery. Sunday afternoon funeral services were held at the residence of V. S. Van Duyn. Rev. J. G. Van Ness officiating. A large number of the members of the Masonic faternity, of which deceased was a member were present.

Mr. Van Duyn was born in New Jersey and was about 68 years of age at the time of his death, he came to Waterloo about 18 years ago and lived on West Ninth Street most of the time, except when on his farm, about 7 miles south of here. Something over a year ago he moved to Tullahoma, Tenn., but the change did not seem to agree with him. His last illness was Bright's disease, complicated with disease of the lungs and liver.

He leaves a wife, son and daughter, the latter residing at Manchester, and the son on the farm near this
city.

The relatives desire to express to neighbors and friends their sincere and heartfelt thanks for kindness shown in their bereavement.
