James Franklin Barlow died at his home, 1049 Linn Street, at 9:00 a.m. today. He had been ill of typhoid fever for the past three weeks. It was thought he was recovering but a replapse cause his death.

James Franklin Barlow was born Oct. 17, 1872, near Olin, Jones County, Ia. Sept 5, 1895 he was married to Miss Sarah Cline who, with eight children, his father, two sisters and a brother, survive him.

Mr. Barlow had been active in christian activities, assisting with the work at the mission halls and being interested in the Black Hawk County Holiness Association.

The remains were removed to the Petersen Bros.' Morturary, where they will remain until Saturday morning and then taken to the home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Evangelcal Church, with Rev. D. H. Vandersoll in charge. Burial will be in Fairview.
