Services are pending at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home for Edward Pond, 68, of 1223 Mulberry St., who died at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City Monday morning.

Mr. Pond was born in August, 1895, in Fredericksburg to William and Harriet Goldsberry Pond. A veteran of World War I, he had resided in Waterloo for several years.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Riemcke, 703 Maynard Ave., and Mrs. Clinton Reedy, 1045 Ann St.; three grandchilren; one brother, Daniel Pond, 709 Washington St.; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Van Drew of Centralia, Mo.
