Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home for Arthur C. Cole, 79, of 1519 West Fourth Street who died at his home early Sunday of coronary thrombosis.

He was born Jan. 31, 1871 in Pavilion, Ill., son of William George and Martha Casburn Cole. He moved with his parents to Waterloo in 1883 and had been a resident since.

Mr. Cole was a graduate of the University of Iowa in 1900 and was in the railway mail service from 1899-1913. He married Anna Ann Holmes on June 3, 1908. He entered the real estate business in 1913 and remained in that field until his death. Mr. Cole plotted five additions for the city of Waterloo and built 150 homes.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Waterloo Real Estate board, Optomist club, Fortnightly club, Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Pythias, Waterloo chapter of the Citizen's Historical association, and the Knife and Fork club.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, four daughters: Mrs. Arlene Howe, Rochester, N. Y., Mrs. Erma Leiser, 1519 West Fourth Street, Mrs. Lydia Jensen, Chicago, Ill., and Miss Phyllis Cole, Chicago. Four grandchildren also survive.

One daughter, Mrs. Virginia Pigford, proceeded him in death.

Rev. Warren K. Martin, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the service and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family requested that no flowers be sent.
