Leonard O. Hanson, 4, of 634 W. 11th St., died Thursday, December 13, at his home of natural causes.
He was born Nov. 4, 1906, in Roseau, Minn., son of Larl Martin and Perra Alinie Tranna Hanson. He married Verena Gonser on Feb. 20, 1928, in Devils Lake, ND. She died in August 1957. Mr. Hanson was employed by Deere & Co. as an assembler for 20 years, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne of Mundelein, Ill., and Lynn and Keith, both of Waterloo; two daughters, Beverly McGuire and Zona Richards, both of Waterloo; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren;
He was preceded in death by a brother, Morris; and five sisters: Lottie Hagberg, Selma Ueland, Orpha Hanson Brandt, Mabel Hansen and Gyda Lillvik.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until services Saturday at the chapel.
