LILA M. SIMONS, 66, of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 10, 1994, at Covenant Medical Center hospice unit of cancer.

She was born January 5, 1928, in Waterloo, daughter of Edward and Zerilda Vick Hinz. She married Jack Simons on October 8, 1946, in Maple Leaf. He died March 6, 1982.

Mrs. Simons had been employed for 25 years as a salesperson for Stanley Products.

Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Judy Baer of Waterloo and Mrs. Lois Differding of Jesup; two sons, Gene of Cedar Falls and Gary of Clear Lake; five grandchildren, Ronald and Galadriel Baer, Bonnie (Simons) Jackson, Chad and John Simons; four sisters, Darlene Bird of Casper, WY., Betty Grober of Alta Vista, Jean Teager of Gravette, AK, and Marilyn Wright of Orchard; and three brothers, Laverne, Donald and Merle Hinz, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Jack Baer, and two sisters, Mary Hinz and Betty Lee Hinz.

Services will be 11 am Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with burial in Garden Of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm today at Garden View Chapel, and an hour before services Saturday at the church.
