JACK SIMONS

Services for Jack Simons, 64, of 603 Keystone St., Waterloo, who died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at Allen Memorial Hospital, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories.

He was born Oct. 5, 1917, at Delhi, son of Thomas and Hilda Jakelin Simons. He married Lila M. Hinz Oct. 8, 1946 at Maple Leaf. He worked for the Illinois Central-Gulf Railroad from 1946 to 1977, retiring as a foreman. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gene R. of 4440 W. Bennington Road, Cedar Falls, and Gary L. of Clear Lake; two daughters, Mrs Judy Baer of Whiteman AFB, Missouri, and Mrs Lois Differding of Jesup; seven sisters, Mrs Alice Keith of Delhi, Mrs Dorothy Gentz of Prairie Du Chein, Wis., Mrs Grace Nieman of Earlville, Mrs Mary McElmeel and Mrs Hilda Jones, both of Cedar Rapids, Mrs Edna Peterman of San Diego Calif. and Mrs Jane Mautino of Clinton, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave., from 5 to 9 pm Monday and from 9 to 11 am Tuesday and at the church before services.
