Services for Nis N. Ostergaard, 98, of 426 Ivanhoe Rd., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kearns-Dykeman Chapel. Mr. Ostergaard died Friday morning at Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

He was born near Cedar Falls June 10, 1879, son of Jens and Hedvig Knudsen Ostergaard. He married Anna C. Terkelsen May 4, 1905. in Clinton.

He was a truck driver for the City of Cedar Falls from 1916 until retirement in 1945. Before 1916 he farmed in the Cedar Falls area.

Survivors include two daughters. Mrs. Winifred Debe Jochumsen. of 426 Ivanhoe Rd., and Mrs. Loren Meeker, of 624 W. 20th St.. Cedar Falls and of Crane Lake. Minn.; a sister, Miss Hattie Ostergaard, of the Western Home in Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
