WATERLOO — Ada B. Boltz, 81, of Waukon, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday Jan. 16, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, after a brief illness.

She was born March 9, 1920, in rural Lansing, daughter of Dwight and Bessie Darnell Van Brocklin. She married Walter Hehner Boltz on April 18, 1941, in Caledonia, Minn.

Mrs. Boltz received a normal training certificate and taught rural school in Lansing and New Albin.

Survived by her husband; three sons, John "Jack" of Lansing and James and David, both of Mobile, Ala.; two daughters, Shirley Rasmussen of Waterloo and Vicki Williams of Sunflower, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Ervin Van Brocklin of Peyson, Ariz., and Robert Van Brocklin of Lansing; and three sisters, Florence McKee and Phyllis Hammel, both of Lansing, and Joyce Shogren of Waterville.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Ray Van Brocklin.

Services: were 10 a.m. today at Martin Funeral Home, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, both in Waukon.
