Florence Merle Mastain, age 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jess D. Mastain, residing in Lincoln Township, six miles south of Hudson, died at 6:30 a. m, today at Presbyterian hospital.

Death followed an illness of six weeks from appendicitis, three operations failing to bring relief.

Surviving are the parents and three sisters: Mrs. Marcus Nelson, Lincoln Township; Mrs. F. W. Wehrhan*, Traer; Margie, at home. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Mastain, 1320 Grant Avenue, Waterloo, are an uncle and aunt.
