Final rites for August Hein, 706 Wellington, who died at his home Friday night will be at the Dahl Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

He was a brother-in-law of H. J. Hahn North Cedar business man, and had moved to Waterloo from Spirit Lake, la., only last fall. Hein and his wife, the former Alvina Hahn, had been operating a group of cottages on West Okoboji lake until his failing health caused them to dispose of the business last year.

Hein was a butter maker 11 in creameries of northwest Iowa for many years before entering the summer resort business. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving besides his widow are three brothers residing m other states. The couple had no children.

Born Nov. 11, 1883, in Germany
August's World War I draft registration document and the 1910 and 1930 US census records list his first wife's name as Matilda H. Hein. Following Matilda's passing, August married Alvina Sasse, also widowed, on December 15, 1934, at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha, South Dakota. Following August's passing, Alvina remarried to a gentleman named Utesch.
