CEDAR FALLS - Marvin James Flett, 56, of Cedar Falls, died at his home Wednesday, April 26, 2006, of a heart condition.

He was born Oct. 16, 1949, in Cedar Falls, son of James D. and Sylvis L. Edwards Flett. He married Susan Zubra in Waverly, and they later divorced.

Mr. Flett had been employed by Waterloo Industries prior to the plant's closing.

Survived by three sons, James of Texas, John of Waterloo and Andrew of Decorah; two daughters, Michelle Flett of Iowa City and Christina Flett of Decorah; one granddaughter; his mother of Cedar Falls; a brother, Calvin L.; and a sister, Diana G. Flett of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his father; two daughters, Dawn Flett and Leslie Flett; and a brother, Norman D.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.

Memorial fund will be designated at a later date.
