CEDAR FALLS — Kenneth N. Greene, 82, of Cedar Falls, died at home Wednesday, July 17, 2013.

He was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Independence, son of Frederick Leland and Irene Faulkner Greene. He married Mary Anna Basquin on July 22, 1951, in Independence.

He attended school in Independence and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For 28 years, Mr. Greene was a metal fabricator at Hawkeye Steel, Waterloo, retiring in 1989.

Survived by his wife; four sons, David of Cedar Falls, Norman and Jeffrey, both of Waterloo, and Steven (LeAnn) of Nashua; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, and a brother, Robert of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two sisters; and a brother.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence. White Funeral Home, Independence, is in charge of arrangements.
