WATERLOO — Camille B. Gjovig, 84, of West Des Moines, formerly of Muscatine and Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Adel Acres Care Center, Adel, of natural causes.

She was born April 9, 1929, in Spencer, S.D., daughter of Arch Charles and Beulah Crow Bunting.

Ms. Gjovig graduated from Jesup High School and attended Allen College for two years, Parsons College for four years, and did one year post grad at Iowa Wesleyan. She worked as a medical technician for Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, for 20 years, retiring in 1998.

Survived by a son, Roger L. of West Des Moines; two brothers, Marlyn (Glenola) Bunting of Jesup and Don (Reva) Bunting of Ames; six sisters, Margaret Opfer and Mary (Ted) Moody, both of El Cajon, Calif., Helen Gjovig of Iowa City, Katherine LaPole of Cedar Falls, Ruth Goins and Carol (Don) Elson, both of Waterloo; and a sister-in-law, Justene Bunting of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Russell Alan; and three brothers, Charles, Harold and Robert Bunting.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories.
