The funeral of Mrs. Charlotte Philpot, conducted from the old homestead just west of this city Sabbath afternoon, was largely attended.

She was in her ninety-fourth year. Her husband, George Philpot, died 21 years since. Mr. Philpot and family moved to Cedar Falls from Ohio fifty-seven years since.

Of the seven children born to them, five sons and one daughter are living. The sons all live in and near Cedar Falls.
